The purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the Contracting Department by assisting with administrative and accounting tasks. 


Responsible to: Head of Contracts

Responsible for: None

Liaison with: Directors, Managers, Employees, Contractors and Clients


  • Processing and generating tender enquiries
  • Registering and monitoring status of tender submissions
  • Creating job files and job numbers
  • Ensuring accurate Job Costing reports
  • Assisting with valuations
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Site visits when required
  • Creating sub-contractor orders and collating information
  • Input of purchase invoices from suppliers and dealing with any queries
  • Control of supplier approved documentation
  • Assisting with employees on the contracting team
  • Answering telephone or email enquiries
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and tasks are up to date
  • Ordering of site signage and COVID station consumables
  • Monitoring of First Aid boxes on all sites
  • To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately
  • To comply with the company’s Factory Production Control Manual in support of SRC Quality Objectives
  • To perform duties as directed by Manager


  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
  • Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
  • Strong administration skills with Word and Excel 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
